About the role

Our Scoresby branch is offering a rare 13-month full time undergraduate Business Management Internship opportunity in our Mobile Fleet area commencing 30thJanuary 2023 for a current undergraduate Business, Finance or Commerce student who is keen to utilise theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce.

“What Will You Do”

  • Create a register of mobile plant across Cummins branches and manufacturing locations. This involves collating data for forklifts and floor scrubbers (number, type, size, brand, location, leased, owned, age with a view of understanding future needs for replacement (costs, timing, maintenance). [This is a major yearlong project]

  • Review progress of fleet towards 50% reduction of CO2e emissions by 2030 [ Major Project]

  • Prepare glidepath for upgrade of vehicle telematics system [Major Project]

  • Prepare presentations of project outputs

  • Review and analyse monthly lease invoice for accuracy

  • Support FBT logbook initiatives (as required)

  • Working with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Power BI (IT skills, Presentation skills)

  • Exposure to Cummins processes and procedures (Business skills)

  • Working with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI (IT skills, Presentation skills)

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:

  • Are currently studying an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Commerce with a keen interest in analytics

  • Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of February 2023

  • Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration

  • Possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Understanding of investment concepts

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted business relationships.

  • Strong verbal and writing skills.

  • Self-starter, ability to take initiative, and enthusiastic.

  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality

  • Strong computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Valid car driving license highly preferred
